MARC has withdrawn its financial institution ratings of AA-/MARC-1 on AmInvestment Bank Berhad (AmInvestment) at the bank's request. However, the rating agency will continue to maintain rating surveillance on AmInvestment for the purpose of assessing the quality of credit support provided by the bank as guarantor for the RM365 million Bank Guaranteed Serial Fixed Rate Bonds issued by Sistem Penyuraian Trafik KL Barat Sdn Bhd (SPRINT).

Going forward, MARC's credit assessment of the bank will be solely reflected in public information counterparty credit ratings on the bank, currently AA-/MARC-1/Stable. MARC's counterparty credit ratings are opinions on the ability of counter parties to honour senior obligations under financial contracts, including third party credit guarantees.
